Ian Jones
Ian Jones started as a combat medical technician in the Royal Army Medical Corps in 1991. Shortly after, he transferred to the Royal Army Dental Corps and qualified as a dental hygienist in 1994. Since then he has worked in practice management and as a hygienist in the Oral Surgery Department of the Cambridge Military Hospital and was attached to 22 General Field Hospital.
Ian began working at the dental practice in Lyndhurst in 2000. In addition to this he has also worked in NHS and private practices, from general dentistry to specialist practices, with implantologists and prosthodontists.
He is qualified in tooth whitening, taking x rays, special treatments for gum disease such as photo activated disinfection and antibiotic treatments. Aside from his clinical work, Ian has provided training for dental hygienists, therapists, dental nurses and dental technicians alike.
Ian is registered with the General Dental Council, and has membership with the British Society of Dental Hygienist and Therapists, an Associated Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK), Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Society of Periodontology.
